The bison leather is custom tanned for us in Milwaukee, WI amd is waxed and fairly firm out of the box. It has great texture, durability and stand-up, so embrace the tough bison and let the waxes break down and the jacket break-in over time.  Choose bison if you want a tougher leather and don't mind the stiffness as the leather breaks-in.
